About Mesa Public Schools

Mesa Public Schools uses a broad K–6, 7–8, and 9–12 neighborhood backbone, but its choice network can carry students through very different sequences.

Traditional and accelerated schools, Montessori and language programs, career academies, and online options may operate as full campuses or as programs inside larger schools. Enrollment decisions need to follow the actual grade span and placement attached to each name.

A major choice-school reconfiguration took effect for 2026–27. Franklin High School opened a secondary continuation for the Franklin model, Shepherd College Prep began with grades 7–9 and is designed to grow toward 7–12, and Wilson was repurposed as Franklin Accelerated at Wilson for the early grades. These changes create new multi-stage pathways across campuses while most Mesa students continue through the neighborhood elementary, junior-high, and high-school feeder system.
