About Dysart Unified School District
Dysart’s northwest Valley system mixes K–8 campuses with elementary schools that feed dedicated middle schools before students enter one of four comprehensive high schools. The middle-school layer varies across the district: current materials include both 5–8 and 6–8 campuses. A student’s address and chosen school can change the number and timing of campus moves long before high-school assignment becomes relevant.
Grade reconfiguration can occur while boundary lines stay in place. Beginning in 2024–25, Asante shifted from K–8 to K–5, Western Peaks expanded to K–5, and Cimarron Springs changed to 6–8; the district described those changes as grade-level assignments and said the geographic boundaries would remain.
These dated changes show why Dysart has to be read school by school. A boundary can remain fixed while the grade at which a child changes campuses moves, making the active grade span of the assigned school as important as the boundary map.
