Chandler Unified School District No. 80 Calendar 2026-2027

Chandler Unified’s ordinary sequence is K–6 elementary, grades 7–8 junior high, and high school. Around it sits a large choice network: traditional academies, gifted schools, accelerated programs, online learning, and campuses with nonstandard grade spans. Each choice can change transportation, entry requirements, peer group, or the number of campus moves, so “program” and “school” cannot be used as synonyms.

Dual-language immersion is designed as a continuing pathway. The district describes a 50/50 English-language model in elementary school, a 70/30 balance in junior high, and continuation through high-school language study. A student entering the elementary program is making a multi-stage commitment whose later seats and continuation rules should be planned in advance.

Chandler Early College changes the setting even more. It is a district high school located at Chandler-Gilbert Community College, where students combine graduation requirements with college courses. The school’s current public description says students may earn up to a full year of college credit toward an associate degree before high-school graduation. That route is structurally different from taking one dual-enrollment course at a comprehensive high school: the college campus becomes the student’s high-school base.
